A new joint project between the Syria Trust and the Institution of Excellence and Creativity
In line with the efforts of the Syria Trust for Development to strengthen its strategic partnerships, the Trust signed an executive agreement with the Institution of Excellence and Creativity. A meeting was held to sign the executive agreement between the Syria Trust represented by Mr. Fares Kallas, and the Institution of Excellence and Creativity represented by the Head of Institution Ms. Hala Al-Dakkak. The meeting was held in the Dar Al Assad for Culture and Arts “the Damascus Opera House” on Saturday 5/1/2019. In fulfillment of the common goal, and in completion of previous efforts started by both parties in sponsoring the young and the youth, the Manarat program (a national program aimed towards partnering with individuals willing to make positive change in their communities) and the management of the Science Olympiad (that aims to form highly qualified teas to participate in national, Arab, regional, and international competitions and especially the international Olympiads) to initiate a new joint project under the name ‘Munazara’ (Debate). The goal of this project is to spread the debate culture and discover talents and capabilities of school students and work with them to develop their personalities by implementing the Munazara project annually to train the youth on the principles and skills of debate in preparation to national and international championships. Activities agreed upon between parties targets young students from the first high-school class (10th grade) to prepare them to participate in national and international competitions in each of the following governorates: Damascus, Rural Damascus, Aleppo, Lattakia, Tartous, Homs, Hama, Sweda, Daraa, Qunaitira.
