Massar compliments the formal education curriculum by offering young people engaging, non-formal learning activities, designed to stimulate experiences of discovery, creativity and self-development. Young people, aged 5 to 15 years old, embark on playful, interactive journeys where they learn about themselves and the world around them. They are encouraged to discover and reach for their potential as individuals and members of the community with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative. Massar’s programs are primarily offered in schools and community centres, and delivered by trained teachers, full time staff and volunteers. To date, Massar has reached out to 432,619 children, delivered activities in 164 schools and trained 1,622 facilitators.
